Ergonomic Pregnancy Pillow | J-Shape with Cooling Cover

£89.99£79.99Save £10.00

Sleep becomes genuinely difficult from the second trimester onward — not because of the pregnancy itself, but because nothing supports the body in the position it needs to be in. This J-Shape Ergonomic Pregnancy Pillow is built specifically around how a pregnant body needs to lie: it supports the bump from the front, the lower back from behind and the knees at the same time, in a single pillow. No juggling three cushions. No waking up to readjust. Cooling fabric cover, detachable arm section, machine-washable. Designed to last from the second trimester through postpartum and breastfeeding. 140 × 70cm. Available in 5 colours: Blush, Dove, Periwinkle, Sage and Graphite.

  • Ergonomic J-shape contour — wraps the body in a way a straight pillow physically cannot; the bottom of the J supports the bump from the front, the top curves behind to support the lower back, the centre keeps knees separated and aligned — all three areas supported simultaneously without shifting position
  • Cooling nylon/polyester cover — breathable fabric actively manages heat; body temperature runs higher during pregnancy and overheating disrupts sleep — the cooling cover makes a tangible difference through the night
  • Detachable arm pillow — the modular arm section repositions independently for targeted waist, hip or arm support as your body changes across trimesters; removes completely for a slimmer profile in later stages
  • Side-sleeper optimised — side sleeping is the recommended position during pregnancy; this pillow makes it the most comfortable one without effort
  • Removable, machine-washable cover — unzips for easy washing; practical during pregnancy and postpartum when everything needs to be low-effort
  • Transitions to postpartum and breastfeeding — use the same pillow to support your body during recovery and to position your baby during feeds; one purchase covers the full maternity journey
  • Step 1: Place the bottom curve of the J in front of the body to support the bump
  • Step 2: Bring the straight section behind the back to provide lumbar support
  • Step 3: Position the curve between the knees to reduce hip pressure
  • Step 4: Adjust the detachable arm section for additional upper body or waist support
  • Care: Wash the cover regularly — unzip and machine wash on a gentle cycle; dry fully before reattaching
  • Shape: J-shape full-body pillow
  • Dimensions: 140 × 70cm
  • Weight: 3,320g
  • Cover: Cooling nylon/polyester blend — removable and machine washable
  • Fill: Dense polyester fibre
  • Arm section: Detachable — independently repositionable
  • Suitable for: Second trimester through postpartum and breastfeeding
  • Colours: Blush / Dove / Periwinkle / Sage / Graphite

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I start using it?
Most women begin using a pregnancy pillow from around 20 weeks (the start of the second trimester), when the bump becomes large enough that side sleeping without support becomes uncomfortable. Some women start earlier if they experience hip or back pain. The pillow is designed to adapt as the bump grows — you simply reposition slightly as your size increases through the third trimester. There is no specific week that is "too early" — if you're uncomfortable, this is when it's useful.
Can it be used for breastfeeding after birth?
Yes — the J-shape works well as a breastfeeding support cushion during the postpartum period. The pillow wraps around your body to support your arms and bring the baby to breast height without you having to hunch over or hold all the baby's weight with your arms. This reduces back and neck strain during feeds, which is significant when you're feeding multiple times per night in the early weeks. It continues to be useful as a support cushion through recovery from a C-section or perineal injury.
Why does side sleeping matter during pregnancy?
From around 28 weeks, sleeping on the back can compress the inferior vena cava — the large vein that returns blood from the lower body to the heart. This can reduce blood flow to the placenta. The NHS and most midwives recommend left-side sleeping after 28 weeks as a precaution. Sleeping on your left side is also recommended earlier in pregnancy for reducing heartburn. This pillow supports the side-sleeping position so it feels comfortable enough to maintain through the night rather than rolling onto the back during sleep.
Will it fit on a standard double or king bed?
Yes — at 140 × 70cm, the pillow fits comfortably on a standard double bed (135cm wide) and leaves room for a partner on a king-size (150cm+). On a double, the pillow and your body take most of the width — some couples find this is the right time to switch from a double to a king if space is a concern. The J-shape is actually more space-efficient than a C-shape or full U-shape pregnancy pillow, making it the better choice for smaller beds.
