How do I clean the brush?
Wet the bristles with lukewarm water (avoid getting water into the ferrule — the metal band that joins bristles to handle). Apply a small amount of gentle shampoo or dedicated brush cleanser and work into a lather. Rinse until the water runs clear, reshape the bristles with your fingers, and lay flat on a towel to dry. Never stand wet brushes upright — water drains into the ferrule and loosens the glue over time. Clean weekly for brushes you use daily.
Can I use this brush with cream blush?
This brush is designed primarily for powder products. Cream blush can be applied with it, but the fluffy, open structure of the bristles works best with powder — it gives lighter coverage with cream than a denser flat brush would. For the best cream blush application, a synthetic flat or stippling brush is more effective. This brush truly excels with powder blush, bronzer and highlighter.
How long will the bristles last?
With proper care — gentle washing, laying flat to dry, storing without the bristles crushed — quality synthetic brushes last several years. Shedding a few fibres in the first couple of uses is normal. If you notice significant shedding or bristles losing their shape after washing, check that you are rinsing fully downward (not upward into the ferrule) and not using harsh soaps or hot water, both of which degrade the fibres faster.
What finish does it give?
The fluffy, open-fibre head gives a soft, diffused finish — ideal for a natural, blended look. It is not designed for high-impact, intense colour.
