Lactic Acid 10% Exfoliator | AHA Peeling for Dark Spots

Uneven skin tone, dullness and rough texture are caused by dead skin cells accumulating on the surface faster than they naturally shed. This AHA Peeling Concentrate from The Beauty Clinic Club uses 10% Lactic Acid — the gentlest AHA — to dissolve that build-up chemically, revealing the fresher, brighter skin underneath without any physical scrubbing. 1% Hyaluronic Acid is added to counterbalance any dryness the acid can cause, keeping the skin hydrated throughout the exfoliation process. Designed for overnight use, the dropper bottle allows precise, controlled dosing. 30ml / 30g / 1.06 oz.

  • Chemical exfoliation without scrubbing — 10% Lactic Acid dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells, removing them without the micro-tears caused by physical scrubs
  • Brightens dull skin — regular use accelerates cell turnover, revealing more luminous skin; visible improvement in radiance within 2–4 weeks of consistent use
  • Targets uneven tone and dark spots — Lactic Acid inhibits melanin production at the surface level, gradually fading hyperpigmentation and post-blemish marks
  • Smooths skin texture — dissolves the dead skin build-up responsible for rough, uneven texture; improves the appearance of large pores and bumpy skin
  • 1% Hyaluronic Acid counterbalance — prevents the dryness acids can cause by simultaneously delivering hydration; suitable for use without the tight, dry feeling common with other exfoliating products
  • Designed for overnight use — apply in the evening and allow it to work while your skin naturally regenerates
  • 30ml / 30g / 1.06 oz — glass dropper bottle for hygienic, controlled dosing
  • Frequency: Begin with 2–3 times per week (evening only). After 4 weeks, increase to every other evening if the skin tolerates it well
  • Step 1: Cleanse the face and pat dry completely. Acids work best on dry skin — applying to damp skin increases absorption and the risk of irritation
  • Step 2: Dispense 2–3 drops onto fingertips and press gently onto the face, avoiding the eye area and lips. Do not rub — press and let it absorb
  • Step 3: Leave on overnight — the formula is designed for overnight application, allowing the AHA to work while the skin naturally regenerates
  • Step 4: Apply broad-spectrum SPF every morning without exception when using any AHA. Acids increase photosensitivity — sun exposure on acid-treated skin causes the damage you are trying to reverse
  • Important: Do not use on the same evening as retinol or vitamin C. Rotate — acids one evening, retinol the next
Lactic Acid
Lactic Acid 10% (AHA) — Derived from milk; the mildest commonly used AHA — gently exfoliates the surface, brightens tone and fades dark spots without the irritation of stronger acids.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid 1% (Sodium Hyaluronate) — Counteracts the drying effect of acid exfoliation by drawing moisture into the skin; keeps skin hydrated and comfortable throughout the treatment.
White Tea Extract
Organic White Tea Extract (Camellia Sinensis) — Rich in antioxidants; protects skin from environmental stress and supports skin renewal during the exfoliation process.
Sage Extract
Organic Sage Leaf Extract (Salvia Officinalis) — Calms redness and sensitivity; supports the skin's natural regeneration process after chemical exfoliation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the AHA Peeling Concentrate work?
The product contains 10% Lactic Acid (AHA), which gently exfoliates the skin by loosening dead skin cells and promoting cell renewal. 1% Hyaluronic Acid ensures hydration throughout the exfoliation process, preventing dryness or irritation. Regular use helps reveal brighter, smoother, and more radiant skin.
Can it be left on overnight?
Yes, the formulation is designed for overnight application, allowing the AHA to work while the skin naturally regenerates. Always follow with sunscreen the next day.
Is sun protection after using this product necessary?
Absolutely. After exfoliation, your skin becomes more photosensitive. Always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen the next day to prevent UV damage and pigmentation.
Will it sting or irritate my skin?
A mild tingling sensation in the first 1–2 minutes after application is normal for any acid product and does not indicate a problem. Burning, significant redness or discomfort that persists beyond 5 minutes is not normal — rinse immediately with cold water and discontinue use. If you have never used an acid before, start with once a week for the first two weeks to allow your skin to build tolerance before increasing frequency.
Is Lactic Acid suitable for sensitive skin?
Lactic Acid is one of the better-tolerated AHAs for sensitive skin because its larger molecule size means it penetrates more slowly and gently than glycolic acid. However, sensitive skin types should always patch test and begin with the lowest frequency. If your skin is currently irritated, sunburned, or compromised in any way, do not use any acid until the skin has recovered.
Can I use it on dark spots and hyperpigmentation?
Yes — this is one of the most effective uses for Lactic Acid. It inhibits melanin synthesis at the surface and accelerates the shedding of pigmented dead skin cells. For post-acne marks and sun spots, use consistently 3x per week for a minimum of 8 weeks alongside daily SPF. Results without SPF will be slower and the treated areas remain vulnerable to re-darkening in the sun.
Can I use it if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Low-concentration Lactic Acid is generally considered low-risk during pregnancy, but the guidance varies. We recommend consulting your midwife or GP before introducing any active skincare ingredient during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are looking for a pregnancy-safe alternative, our Hyaluronic Acid Moisturiser provides hydration without active exfoliation.
